Looks like a reasonable combo for a mainstream system-on-a-budget, but it doesn't have a discrete GPU soldered on or anything, just makes use of the intel integrated video and only 1, 16X PCIe slot (all others are 1x (length)), and run of the mill Realtek audio instead of Creative Labs, and only one case fan header, so I don't see anything about this board that makes it the slightest bit better for gaming.
Am I missing something?? Here's what Gigabyte has to say about their G1 gaming platforms:
With the launch of the G1 brand of gaming motherboards in 2010, GIGABYTE set out to define what it means to be a PC gamer and we made it our mission to create a line of motherboards and graphics cards that focused solely on the features that matter most to gamers. Whatever the game, whether playing First Person Shooters or Real-Time Strategies, GIGABYTE G1 motherboards and graphics cards deliver top-notch features that can give gamers the winning edge and deliver a much more realistic and immersive gaming environment than even the latest game consoles.
By being first to incorporate industry leading audio, LAN and graphics technologies directly onto the motherboard and providing the highest quality hardware and software to allow gamers to tweak their system performance to the highest levels, GIGABYTE G1 motherboards and graphics cards are designed for gamers that arenât satisfied with second best.
I'm thinking integrated audio, lan, and graphics isn't all that novel today... or even a decade ago.
