My general rule of thumb on flash drives & memory is, if they're only willing to put a 1 year warranty on it, it's because they feel you won't bother trying to collect on it. Wait until you find a brand like Kingston on sale, spend a few more bucks, and get a lifetime warranty on your card. :roll:

Agreed. Having done a lot of field work with both brand-name and generic flash drives, the differences are pretty stark. Across 200 generic flash drives, we had a failure rate of 30% after 90 days. With a similar number of Kingstons, we're at 1% after a year.

Yes, I bought a 32 giger like this about months ago. Used it one time and set it aside. Went back later only to find it completely dead.
