Can't argue with a free taco but they need to get with the program and offer a REAL hot sauce.
Their current fire sauce contains "Water, Tomato Paste, Jalapeno Peppers, Vinegar, Salt, Spices, Dehydrated Onion, Modified Corn Starch, Onion Juice, Acetic Acid, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Benzoate as preservatives, Natural Flavors, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Chloride, Garlic Powder, Soy Sauce (Water, Wheat, Soybeans, Salt, Sodium Benzoate as preservative)."
I have been making sauce for years, but don't want to have to take a bottle with me everywhere I go, not even a small travel size. A neutral goes with everything on the menu sauce should be roasted super-hot peppers, onion, garlic, salt, and either vinegar or ascorbic acid as the pH-modifier/preservative.
Never xanthan gum which just creates watered down goo, and never Sodium Benzoate if there is ascorbic acid, which creates benzene. Taco Bell are you listening?
