Good for people like me who buy a programmable thermostat, program it, then never touch it again for years except to change batteries or switch it from heating to cooling and back a couple times a year, or of course set it for lower duty cycle if away on vacation.
If I were to guess, I'd guess the one Teleman linked goes through batteries slower than this one, though it's also a little less fancy looking.
