Who can't use extra storage these days? Pretty nice... Now I can upload tons of worthless information to be stored in Cyberspace. :)

For those of us who are paranoid about clicking links that lead us to forms asking for our passwords, you can go to Google yourself, log in, click on your picture (or icon), choose "my account" and look in the panel at the left side for "security checkup".

It wouldn't surprise me if google already has all my datas but doesn't want to admit to it.

I completed this , and i didn't see anything indicating that I got the extra space.

Edit:
Success! I tried again today, and after completion, at the end of the page, on the same page was a small font message saying I got the 2GB for the 2015 security thing. I almost missed it.

Nicely done, you're all set

Thanks for helping us look out for your security. We'll let you know if we ever see anything fishy, and you should feel free to run this checklist again whenever you want.

Recovery information checked

Connected devices checked

Account permissions checked

Continue to account settings

This is what I get when finished. Does not say anything about extra storage

If you go to https://www.google.com/settings/storage it will show you how much storage you have now. Mine shows 17 GB after I did the checkup (I was at 15 GB before)

I did this last year and had 17GB, just did it again and it did give me another 2GB for a total of 19GB. Thanks!

Posted after checklist above...

To help celebrate Safer Internet Day 2016, we added 2 GB of free Drive storage to your Google account because you completed the Security Checkup.
