This thing turns off automatically after it loses a bluetooth connection and cannot connect again to any device. Sounds like a pain in the arse if you have to walk over to this unit and turn it ON every time you want to connect a device. Might be OK in the car, but not if you want a bluetooth receiver for an amp or home theater.
Plus the manufacturer highly recommends NOT using it while it's plugged into a charger because that may damage the battery. What!?
Amazon Q&A)">Etekcity Support says:
Thank you for your feedback.
To charge, connect the included USB cable to a computer's USB port or 5V USB charger, the indicator light will glow red. If the receiver is currently paired when charging begins, it will reset and may lose the connection.
It is not recommended to use the device while it is charging, since it may impose damage to the battery and may also reduce the battery life.
