This card has 4 mini Display Port outputs. You'll either need Display Port monitors, or adapters.

Good to see a workstation card rather than a gaming card. I haven't been in the workstation market it a while but when I was the consensus was AMD had better benchmark scores than Nvidia but in real life use Nvidia was better because of better driver support.

This card is $155 at B&H. I suppose if you have use for the gift card then Dell is a better deal but otherwise I'd rather deal with B&H.

Well not really anymore, it depends on the software you intend to use. This Cape Verde (7750 512 SP) or a Quadro K620 which is a GM107 (GTX750 512 SP) though even further gelded on SP to like just 384 SP.

If your looking for a strong entry SolidWorks card and a cost effective choice.

What is the difference between gaming card and workstation card?

All I see in this one is that it's a little underpowered for the price.

I believe the chip has a different device ID, that then allow for a specific BIOS, and that permits you to install the FirePro drivers for professional software. So a lot of what your paying for are driver support for professional software.

Lot's of folks see workstation card as underpowered, it's different in a way they intend to provide a level of productivity for TDP, at a price range. If you have 10-12 workstation that are on SolidWorks all day for most drafting folk sitting doing the rudimentary drawings this is all you'll need to pump out that productivity. These can achieve multiple component part assembly tasks, only certain tasks and huge assemblies that the designer uses would demand that amount of Hp.
