I have been using a bike light that is as bright as this one claims to be quite a bit this summer. I can say it is more than bright enough even on rural roads without artificial lighting. However, I got mine on an
ebay
auction for under $5 including the li-ion battery pack, charger and free shipping. So shop around before you decide to pay $56 for a bike light. Just because a light might be listed for over $100 somewhere that doesn't mean it is a good deal at $56.
