When I was a kid, "760" represented the max FPS capability.
Has it gotten so cheap that 625 is all it's capable of these days?

^ It's not cheapness, it's about marketing and
target
audience. In some areas, like Canada and possibly a few US states (don't know what the feds have been up to with regulations) BB guns with a velocity above 625 FPS must be registered and have more restrictions.
