The price was right but the reviews on were kind of sketchy for several Crosley models which look identical except in case design, many negatives and many of the positives were suspiciously short 5 star reviews.
Then again if you don't have any record player, a decent one will cost more than this and you'll still need at least an analog to USB adapter, if not a phono preamp in series too unless you run it through a (home) stereo amp that has a phono preamp built in...
Without one, I suspect you can buy a generic Chinese preamp module on for $3 or so if you provide your own PSU for it, a basic AC-DC 5V to 12V (somewhere in that range) wall wart adapter should suffice, though ideally it would be linear regulated instead of switching type for this low level signal.
earlier this morning, i checked Nordstroms website and saw that the brown model was available at $100. I called them and they honoured my original transaction.
