There are only 2 reviews of this drive. One from a guy who has never had a problem with Corsair flash drives and one from a guy who got a dud. As Murphy predicts, I'm with the latter guy. The one I got only lasted a few months. It was so slow before it died, that I have never bought one of their flash drives since.
Have to agree with swreynolds. I had the 32gb version of this drive and it only lasted a few months as well. It seemed plenty fast to me, but maybe that was only in comparison to the 2.0 drives I had before it.
Anyway, it got corrupted and went into the trash.
I'd like to know the failure rates on these things. Seems I've had more go bad than lasted, to the point that I don't purchase because what's the point if I'm just going to be losing my data 8 months later.
Had no problems with my USB2 version though IIRC it is just a bare circuit board slipped into the rubber shell so while it looks like it ought to be rugged it is actually more fragile than a standard plastic cased drive.
