3 TD reviews does not make for a valid sample size. It receives 4/5 eggs on
Newegg
and 4.5/5 stars on
Amazon
with almost 2000 owner reviews, as well as the favorable reviews linked below.

However, there seems to be at least two (some people even split that up into 4) different designs sold under the TX650 designation, although both (new) are worth $60+ before rebate.

Refurbished is your call... could mean anything, like someone who bought a PSU thinking their old one failed then found out the PSU wasn't the problem so they returned it. I have no idea if they were tested subsequent to whatever caused them to become other than new in box product.

^ If that didn't work out, should I complain that TD rebates are bad? I follow the terms and have a high rebate success rate.

^ Absolutely, sometimes I buy products I don't even want, just so I can send in the rebate. ;)

No Z. My momma told me if I rebated too often that I would go blind. Since I only have one eye left it's either continue rebating or buy a braille keyboard.

^ It was a decent deal even at $30 w/o the rebates. Now back up to $70... I'd just wait it out, rebate or not.

^ Sorry to hear that but don't you have to tape the UPCs into the specific area on the rebate form on the left side towards the bottom?

Don't feel too bad about it, the last PSU I bought with a rebate was $26 after rebate for only 550W.

^ Yes it's an image example of the bar code but IIRC it is also where you are supposed to tape the actual UPC. I used to staple my UPCs to the top left corner but supposedly some rebate house equipment jams on
staples
, so many of them now want it taped on in the lower portion.
