I've had mine for about three years. Bought it on a cruise ship for around $440. Great watch and titanium is incredible. Virtually in mint condition even though I wear it almost every day. Only negative for me is that it's not intuitive to change time zones, at least for me.

I've had a Citizen Eco Drive perpetual calendar watch for about 10 years, too. No problems. Bought it on
Ebay
as a store display unit with box, papers, warranty, etc. for $90. I've forgotten exactly what it listed for then but the price was ridiculous.
Watches, like point-and-shoot cameras and separate GPS units are rarely needed by young people now who just use their smart phones.

does anybody really know what time it is?
DOES ANYBODY REALLY CARE?
Who feels that a watch is so important that you have to drop a $350 note to keep track of it, or do these "customers" buy them to impress other people?

^ Yes you're either a pilot, watch collector, want some bling, or can't resist a large discount to buy this... gifting aside.

OK. Here is what I did. I signed up for the 20% discount and applied that. I signed up for the $200 off the first $500 purchase with the SonyCard and used that. And, I threw in a matching watch for the wife (so she won't be too angry with me buying a watch for myself). ;-) I popped on the blue dial for closer to $600, and my wife's watch was closer to $90ish. The out-the-door was around $515 after applying the 10% and 20% discounts. And, the total bill for over $1,000 in retail value of Citizen Eco Drive (his and her) watches will be right at $315. It will take 2 to 3 months to see if SonyCard really applies the $200 credit as promised. But, that will be a deal if it all works, don't you think?

Oh, and it is 0% APR on the SonyCard for the first X months, so I will probably make the minimum payments until the $200 credit is applied. So, I won't pay any interest. And, I won't ever have to shell the full $500. I'll just pay off the remaining balance shortly after the $200 is credited back to the card. Pretty elegant. Thanks Ben's Bargains for planting the idea in my head!
