Very strange opinions on this. IMO plastic watches are worth about $20 if name brand, maybe $25 if it has something special going for it besides not needing a battery... when one costs 30 cents and lasts for years. The ones in many plastic Timex watches last a decade.

Agreed. And I also agree that this looks like something straight out of the 80's. I personally tend to gravitate toward watches constructed of 316L "surgical grade" stainless with hand-wind movements, but that's just a preference thing, I suppose.
G-Shock watches are the real deal. I have one that I accidentally ran over with the car. Trashed the band and the bezel, but the watch core still worked great. Quick part replacement and I am still rocking it several years later.
