About a month ago, I purchased an identical Coleman-brand cot from and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable this cot is. The Coleman one cost about $35 or so. The canvas bed surface seems to be extremely durable. Since the middle support is an X (like both ends) with the support rails running along the sides, there is no bar pushing up into the sleeping surface in the center of the cot.
Setting it up is kinda tricky and will take a few minutes as the bar ends slide through the canvas bed surface on both ends and then lock into the parallel side rails. One end goes into very easily, but the second cross-bar end is very tight. Once in place, however, you could bounce a quarter off of the sleeping surface. The weight capacity of my Coleman is 300 lbs. as well and for the week that I used it, it easily held a 210-pound guy, a 65-pound Belgian Malinois, and a 15-pound Maltese-mix with no problem (yes, all at the same time!).
My Coleman cot - again, apparently identical to this Cabela's model - had plenty of head & foot room for a 5'9" person and would comfortably hold up to a 6'3" sleeper. It's extremely sturdy and I'm certain that I'll get years of quality service from mine. Since the Cabela's model appears to be identical to my Coleman model, I would HIGHLY recommend it!
Just ordered one of these to have an extra bed in our rv and from what I see it will do a great job. But do not get in a hurry if you order this cot. When I ordered it said it was backordered and would ship in 4-5 weeks. In my confirmation e-mail it says that I can expect to receive it in May. That is 5 MONTHS. It works for me as we don't think we will need it until we take a trip to Yellowstone in July but thought I would let people know of the excessive wait time.

It's a little more than the $32 (plus sales tax) I paid maybe a month & a half ago, but it's in stock for free shipping to your home (or free ship-to-store) and if you order it today, you'll have it before Christmas.
