Consumer Reports rated Breville's stand mixer the best, (better than Kitchen Aid too), so, as a company it sounds like they make some high quality products.
Companies are using the 'smart' term too freely nowadays. Just because it has a detailed display doesn't make it smart. That being said, I have this and its a great oven because it's dead simple to use.
