The bad reviews appear to be people who need "support" to set up a router. I hate to say it but not everyone should DIY their networking. The moment you put a CD in your computer to install a router, you're off to a bad start.
In a perfect world Belkin ought to give free phone support to everyone, but in this world it's a high cost to swallow when you consider that far fewer people tend to call in for support about a USB cable, video card, hard drive, mouse, etc.
i'm seeing $25 from accessorize_depot, so i'm presuming the deal's dead.
i have a similar belkin (ie "share max") and it works fine, but then it's only ever ran dd-wrt (i don't even think it ever once booted into the default firmware).
