The 4th gen iPod Touch only supports IOS 6.1.6. Many apps now require IOS 7 or later to run.

I've had my 32GB Ipod since they were released and it is still to this day the most dependable MP3 player I've owned. Don't waste money on the newest ones, these older ones were built better.
