Looking at a 1440p / 4K build I'm really seeing the regular R7 1700 (65W) part on a ASUS Crosshair VI Hero then with Corsair Hydro H60 and just set their preloaded UEFI BIOS setting for 4.0Ghz. Looking to hold till the CPU at $300, Mobo might be had for $230, perhaps H60 for $60.
I suppose the 7700K ($300) again a nice ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero Z270 LGA1151 ($230) would do it great, but what cooling would you need to run that 91W+ when with a 10%+ OC? More a Dual radiator like H100i V2 that runs $100 plus.
