While the Q & A says yes, the description says no to steel lines (brakes, hi-pressure, etc).

The press piece looks like cast metal so it's a YMMV situation whether trying to flare harder metal works or crack-breaks that piece. I wouldn't get it for brake lines unless you're using one of those universal retrofit kits that has aluminum tubing instead of steel.
