wow, $60 for one of their lower end soon-to-be obsolete products. what a bargain. good find...
Here's a tip, stay away from their new generation 2.0 DRM coffee makers. Keurig's stock price continues to head into the t*iolet from the result of their 2.0 marketing fiasco. There's a class action shareholder's lawsuit brewing along with coffee your new coffeemaker...
"I'm gonna make a decision to buy a product based on a company's stock price!" - Said no one ever.
Don't quite your day job, zzyzx, because you make a terrible stock analyst and personal shopper.
This is a great deal. Keurig is just trying to unload its excess inventory due to sales misses, for two key reasons.
First, Keurig made a boneheaded error in introducing DRM-like mechanism in their 2.0 systems to prevent counterfit K-cups (I proudly have a giant box in my office purchased at $0.16 per K-cup). The backlash from consumers severely damaged its reputation. But here's the major reason why Keurig is not going anywhere: Keurig remains the most ubiquitous name in single-cup coffeemaker over the likes of Nespresso and Verismo. Further, Keurig's major partners, including Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, and Kraft Heinz, all announced plans to grow their product offerings with the 2.0 system.

This model can use anyone's K cups. It's pre - 2.0 marketing faux pas. I'm buying a $60 coffee maker to replace one that coincidently died after living a long and useful life. Was planning the $100 spend, the $60 is a deal from there. Did a Keurig employee run over your dog?
That's a great find. It's $90 instead of $60 for the Keurig branded similar model. I'm sure Ben's reader's are all trying to find ways to spend 50% more than the deals offered here. Kudos to you for finding this offer.
I'm glad I'm not picky about coffee. So long as it doesn't resemble roofing tar I'm fine with a $18, 12 cup Mr Coffee or whatever. I've already finished it by the time I've woken up enough to notice any difference.
The bargain recommendation is if you find a recalled Mr. Coffee at a thrift store, yard sale, etc. you could return it to the manufacturer for a new one and at no additional cost to you...
Yes. There was a time that Sears had lifetime guarantees on most of their tools, and a good friend, who has since passed on, used to go to yard sales and find tools he could buy and exchange for new ones. I understood exactly what you meant.
Let me help you with your reading comprehension, My point was that Mr Coffee makes K Cup Coffee Makers, not that that particular model was a bargain. The bargain recommendation is if you find a recalled Mr. Coffee at a thrift store, yard sale, etc. you could return it to the manufacturer for a new one and at no additional cost to you... Understand now?
And 2 guesses as to WHY Mr. Coffee makes single-serve coffee makers now... Kuerig isn't going anywhere for a while, dude...
Damn...I guess coffee makers are a hot button topic...(pun intended?)
Nah, just one man's crusade against Keurig by preaching its demise. My guess is that zzyzx either got burned by Keurig's stock or he watched Jim Cramer.

Dang It, you guys figured me out. I hate Kuerig and all it stands for. They jipped me out of a rebate and swore that I'd get even with them... So now anytime I see a Kuerig K Cup coffee maker, I pee in it when no one is looking...
Wow! To be able to do that, you must drink a lot of coffee.

That's nothing. They raped my dog and now I'm stuck with ******* puppies that think 0bama will support them and that it's perfectly acceptable to breast feed in public.

The Elite list price is $120. and others sell it for $100. I just ordered it and paid $60. That's a good sale to me.

I'm a French press kinda guy. Don't get it why people are so averse to making good coffee.

Nothing wrong with dogs breast feeding in public.
Thank you!
