Interesting offer, but the nearest store is ~50 miles from me. Many reviewers say that the Quaker State is not really a full synthetic, but a blend.

Just got the $12 rebate on Mobil 1 I bought at
Walmart
- that means I paid $12 for 5 quarts of fully synthetic 5w20, and I'm pretty sure that's better oil than Quaker.

Better, worse, NOBODY can tell. Even CR-s last study could not tell, so I'm not going to fall for a lot of BS from the I-net trolls.

eh...I just bought oil yesterday at advance auto parts including the filter... I chose the high mileage quaker state with a driveworks filter (20 dollars)...if I would've saw this I would have been more choosy. New oil is already in my car :/

Pretty good deal imo. Usually this would be $20 - $25 if it was on sale at autozone. Downside is that they are too far for me.

I need this if they have full synthetic 5w40 non-diesel. I've been paying $10 for Castrol 1 qt.

I prefer to do my own oil changes... never trust folks at
Walmart
or Jiffy Lubes to do it! what kind of oil or oil filter do they use? probably the cheapest!

Once you go full synthetic, you can't go back.

^ Yes you can. You can even mix synthetic and dino oil if you want to. One common reason some people go back to dino is the synthetic cleans out an older engine TOO well so the seals start to leak.

Put dino back in, especially one of the high mileage formulations with seal swell additive, and you usually at least slow down the leak of not getting rid of it... it'll probably get worse over time as the seals continue to age, but leak less than with synthetic oil.

Wrong. Furthermore, you can mix synthetic and mineral oil in any ratio you like. They are all fully compatible.
Synthetic oil does not increase the manufacturer's required interval between changes, contrary to popular belief.

^ True it may not increase the change period needed to satisfy the warranty, but it can be used for more miles until it has degraded enough to need changing, particularly if those miles are racked up quickly instead of old, acidic oil sitting in a vehicle used less often.
