Don't waste your money on Craftsman, over priced Chinese manufactured tools. You can basically get the same quality tool at Harbor Freight for half the cost.
Pliers are the one tool you always lend and seldom get back. It's too easy to stick in your pocket and walk away. Good price to replace lost tools or just fill in your tool box.
These sears deals never have free shipping, which all but ruins it for me. I have little interest in driving over to my local sears in order to pick up $10 of tools.
The Evolve stuff requires you to have the purchase receipt for exchange unlike regular craftsman stuff. Most will lose them so no warranty. Sounds more like devolve to me. Typical marketing speak delivering the opposite of what it implies. If something evolves I expect it to get better.

"Craftsman" branded hand tools are usually significantly better quality than the junk at HF.
China is a big place, makes a whole range of quality tools from unfit for anything, to top notch stuff that seldom gets exported because of too little price difference.
However these are Evolve, so I'd inspect them good before leaving the store in case one is off tolerance... same for anything bought at HF.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot better pliers than Craftsman, but if you want that AND made in USA, expect to pay $13+ each piece, even $30+ ea, not $13 for a set.

Here is the HF 5 piece set, $10 instead of half price, doesn't have molded cushion handles (which you may or may not want), and has less precise machining which you even see in their picture.

Well said sir!
Yes, Craftsman is no longer what they were and what they stood for, but let's not compare to HF. Nothing against HF, I like shopping there, but Craftsman is still better steel
