Quality is totally different. The Monoprice unit has far fewer adjustments and has a much shorter range of motion. It also can't be adjusted up or down without tools.

Yep, in other words.. you can move the monitor anywhere without any tools and it will just stay there. The weight of the monitor is counter-balanced by the springs in the arm.
Damn it... it was too good to be true... my order was cancelled due to misprice. I was looking forward to have this new mount in my desk... I will never buy anything from Office Depot anymore :(
Cancelled by misprice but if you look on your Office Depot order is says reason is due to "inventory Reasons".
I contacted Corporate and they in essence said too bad. Refer to the "Terms of Use" for their website and it says they are not responsible for pricing errors.
Seriously? I will be checking with our State's Attorney Generals office for how this is supposed to shake out.
But............. Any business that does not honor their word is toast with me. Bad business practice and bad business. This will cement me from shopping there again, for anyhting.
Pretty sad since they are merging with OfficeMax and should really be putting out their best effort to obtain customer loyalty with their new business model. Shaking my head and walking away......

I believe the 3M is counterbalanced.
