Too bad the new Tolkien book isn't out yet (the one with all the great artwork), would have been nice to get 30 percent off that one.

I briefly compared the B&N price with 30% off to some of the already-discounted prices for books on other sites, and the other sites are still cheaper. Best to use this discount for exclusive items you can't find elsewhere.

I tried this promo on some for some expensive books, either the items don't qualify for this promo, or orig price so high that after the 30% discount still costs more than on
Amazon.
.. BN lost me as an online customer

Wish I saw this earlier. I still have a $10 B&N gift card begging for me to use it. Could have gotten a couple books on clearance/discount with the 30 percent off and the gift card.
