Well, I've got one from the previous deal. Now it lays somewhere gathering dust. I agree, it works, and works better than knife+spoon... but not much better. At least, not enough for me to justify hassle of finding it when needed and washing it when done.

This saves a small amount of time compared to using a knife, and I've been washing it in the dishwasher without any ill effects.
For this price, if you do need avocado slices fairly often, you may as well get one.
