Yeah, I have a lot of those free items from harbor freight but skipped getting the heavy duty batteries. Then again you should get at least a couple years out of them in low drain devices like clocks and remotes and they're a little more environmentally friendly than some other primary cell chemistries.

The Harbor Freight ones are Zinc chloride, not alkaline.
