I don't like the Chromecast hard to set up and use your better off with tv box

I don't like cast

I also find chrome slows my computer

I would just buy a kodi box or Roku box

Chromecast is not for everyone, of course. In my experiences dealing with the first and second generation of Chromecast, it's been relatively easy for me to setup but that's mainly because I work in the tech industry. For the elderly, retired friend I met through a carpool/vanpool and my retired parents, I've recommended Roku since they're used to having a more traditional remote control and simple interface that they've all been able to understand more easily.

The only problem I've come across with both the 1st and 2nd generation is that sometimes the wireless connectivity needs to be re-established or set up again periodically (though it could just be a matter of chance that I've received slightly bad units). I've always preferred wired ethernet over wireless and just wish there was a Chromecast version with a built-in ethernet port. Then again, I've yet to try this out (a "DIY" way to connect over wired):

Also, I haven't tried the official ethernet adapter yet, but have read great reviews on it:

The only downside with the official ethernet adapter is that it adds a bit of bulk if you currently have the Chromecast powered through the TV's USB port and that it's reportedly only a 100 Mbps adapter.
