Interestingly, most of the "good reviews" are from those purchasers who haven't used this generic piece of garbage and the poor reviews are from those who needed it or did use it.
Like Solow and energyx suggested, spend a few more bucks and buy a quality tool. OR slide a small claw hammer into your driver door's storage pocket and it will SURELY double as a self-defense item. I also question the logic of storing an item such as this in a vehicle's glove box. If your driver's seatbelt has locked up across your chest as a result of a crash (and you're the vehicle's only occupant), only Stretch Armstrong could reach into a closed glove box from the driver's seat. Buy one of these that have a mounting bracket and screw it to the dashboard by your knees and it'll always be handy!

Good advice as well. My family stores them in the door pocket, within arms reach at all times. For our cars at least, it is within close access. Mounting brackets are a good idea if your door doesn't work for you.
