I don't know what this is, but I got a simple plastic drain snake a long time ago with a bottle of Liquid Plumr. The liquid never really does the job for me, no matter how many times you use it, but that stupid length of plastic can unclog a drain like a champ.

About the most disgusting job in the house though, when I have to do it.
