^ Not rotten, just blemished or deformed/undersized/etc. Anything below grade A, or B during a shortage. That's what happens in many different products with many different fruits and vegetables.

Sorry Dave, but my Pops was in one of their factories and saw it first hand. Not rotten as in black and moldy, but not something you would bake a potato out of.
