I was wondering about formaldehyde release into the environment from the Chinese made interlocking tiles. There was a report by 60 Minutes on Chinese flooring sold by Lumber Liquidators in the US that is contaminated with formaldehyde. If made in China, AVOID!
The 60 Minute piece was about laminate flooring and the glue that's used bonding top wood veneer to the base releasing formaldehyde. If this isn't laminate there shouldn't be a problem. I'd be surprised because laminate is subject to water damage and this is decking.
