Heh, I just ordered $180 on last night and was happy to get 5% - which also had to be activated for the quarter, doesn't automatically apply otherwise.
Pity we can't use Visa Checkout on to double dip and get the $15 off $15 in addition to the 10%.
Useful bit from their FAQ:
On November 23, we will reset your quarterly bonus maximum dollar amount so you can earn 10% cash back on up to $1,500 in new combined purchases in this quarter's bonus categories regardless of what you've spent prior to November 23.
This is great! Luckily I just happen to have Chase freedom. I wonder why they didn't send an e-mail or something regarding this offer.
You can sign up with them to be notified via email (or SMS??) every quarter (which merchants the discount applies to changes each quarter) but it doesn't happen automatically.
A bit point about this credit card is that the 5% categories are limited to $1500 in purchases, which means you can only receive $75 back per quarter.
Except this quarter, where their terms state that the $1500 amount resets on the 23rd and then with the 10% off it theoretically becomes up to $225 ($75 @ 5% + $150 @ 10%).
$1500 cash back is the max you will received from 10% during promotional period.
You'll need to spend $15,000 to max out $1,500 cash reward limit. But there more...
Within $1,500 they break down into category like example: $200 for gasoline, $500 appearances, $150 electronics and so forth. So be prepare for a surprise when you don't see all your 10% of those purchase on statement. I found this out when I drop big $$ on a Pre-amp, amp and a Blu-ray player on (hence all in electronic category), but Chase supervisor give it to me anyway.

Seems like a win-win for us bargain hunters!
Thank you!
