I had this app when a similar deal was on last year. It's not much different from any other app, actually it's junk. It didn't give notifications every time there was weather alert my iPhone inbuilt alerts system gave.

^ After having compared some weather websites and tv/news/weather channels, their forecasts and resulting weather alerts can differ. Some may trigger on too little to be concerned about and others may wait until there's actually such weather present, moving into the area.
