Backwards compatibility comes within the month - a lot of people already have it.

If I traded in my Xbox 360 for $75 do I get to keep my hard drive? (It's only 60gb) I'd like to transfer my data to an Xbox One if I get one since they'll become backwards compatible soon.

No, you do not. What you can do is move your data to the Xbox Cloud.
